Pricing: how your price is built up

Price per metre, per bend, per tube setup and per backing panel — and the order in which everything is added up.

You will find this in your portal at app.mark2form.com: open your software under My software, go to the Settings tab and open the Payments section (the fields are under Prijzen, pricing); you save with Save prices and order button. The field names are in Dutch, also in the English portal; below you will find each one as the portal shows it. It decides the amount your visitor sees while they are designing — the price you charge your own customer.

This is not about what Mark2Form costs you. That is on Pricing.

The fields

Field What it means
Prijs per meter LED-buis (€) — price per metre of LED tube Your metre rate. The design is measured in real metres of tube.
Prijs per hoek/buiging (€) — price per corner/bend What a single bend costs. A busy logo has many, a clean piece of text has few.
Prijs per buis-setup (€) — price per tube setup Fixed cost per separate colour: lead wires and sealing.
Plaat-prijzen — panel prices Per material: clear acrylic, smoked acrylic and painted MDF.
Valuta — currency The currency your visitor sees the price in, for example euro.

Price per tube setup — the field people forget most often

Every extra colour in a design is a separate tube: its own lead wires, its own sealing, its own work. Those are fixed costs that have nothing to do with metres.

Set this to zero and a logo in five colours is as cheap from you as the same logo in one colour — while it costs you several times the work. Put in what an extra colour really costs you.

Panel prices

A price per material. Which panels your visitor gets to see is not set here but under Colours. So a price for a material you do not offer has no effect.

What comes on top of the base price

The four fields above make up the base price. Extra lines can be added to it, and they are always processed in this order:

  1. Extras your customer ticks (dimmer, mounting kit…) — see Order extras
  2. Lead-time surcharge or discount — see Lead-time choice
  3. Discount code — calculated over the subtotal of everything above

That order is fixed. So a 10% discount code also applies to the dimmer and to the rush surcharge, not just to the bare base price.

What the server works out again

Our server works out the extras, the lead time and the discount code itself when an order comes in, with your current settings. The base price comes from the configurator. If something about an order looks odd, your portal shows per line where the amount comes from.

That same amount is what gets paid in an online payment and what ends up on the draft invoice. One amount, the same everywhere.

Changing a price

You change a price and save it — from that moment the configurator calculates with the new amount. Orders that are already in keep the price that applied when they were placed.
